A Japanese fan theory argues Blackbeard’s father descends from the legendary Davy Jones, and that an ancient curse explains his impossible dual Devil Fruit power. If true, this reframes one of One Piece’s greatest unsolved mysteries.
Volume 115’s SBS revealed Rocks D. Xebec’s food preferences — and Japanese fans believe Oda designed Rocks as Joy Boy’s deliberate thematic opposite. Here’s the manga evidence that supports this theory.
Japanese fans believe the “D” in One Piece represents the will of an ancient multi-species kingdom built on radical diversity — and Joy Boy was its king. If correct, this theory reframes the entire Final Saga as a shattered world trying to become whole again.
A new Joy Boy theory argues that he aged rapidly and lost his power like Urashima Taro — and the evidence has been sitting in Fish-Man Island since the New World began. Here’s why the Final Saga color spread changes everything.

A Japanese One Piece theory reveals that Alabasta, Skypiea, and Fishman Island are each secretly a battle for one of four ancient gods — Rain, Earth, and Sun. The final conflict may be fought over the God of the Forest at Marijoa itself.
A Japanese fan theory finally answers every Blackbeard mystery — his dual Devil Fruits, abnormal sleep, and the three-skull flag — with one biological explanation. If this theory is correct, Teach was never fully human to begin with.

Im-sama’s technique ‘Tzitzimitl’ in Chapter 1182 links directly to an Aztec world-ending demon — and the evidence suggests Oda has been building this mythological framework for years. This theory explores what it means for the Final Saga.
Chapter 1182 names Imu’s technique ‘Tzitzimitl’ — an Aztec star-demon that devours the sun. This One Piece theory explains why that single name reframes the entire Final Saga as a mythological battle between Imu and the Sun God Nika.
